Tariq Mahmood has extensive work experience in software development and system analysis. Tariq started their career at ReformedTech in 2014, where they worked as a Software Developer. During their time there, they designed and developed multiple project components using Django and Flask frameworks. Tariq also integrated third-party APIs and built Microservices and UI Dashboards. Tariq identified and optimized performance bottlenecks using Elastic Search and indexing.
In 2018, Tariq joined Bank of America as an Application Developer. Tariq was responsible for developing and refactoring an existing legacy app built on Django and React JS. Tariq focused on improving logging, transactions, security, and throttling, as well as optimizing the single-page interactive UI. Additionally, Tariq performed data extraction and statistical modeling with large unstructured datasets using pandas and NumPy.
In 2019, Tariq moved to TCS as a Sr. Software Developer/System Analyst. Tariq architected and configured multiple application monitoring platforms using the ELK stack. Tariq also designed a storage management portal app that allowed seamless integration of concurrent requests using Django and Vue JS. Tariq enhanced performance by implementing multithreading to generate dynamic larger datasets from the server.
Most recently, in 2021, Tariq joined Skipper as a Staff Engineer. Tariq played a key role in architecting a large and extensible serverless Microservices - Booking Engine from scratch using FastAPI Framework with GRPC protocol in AWS ECS Clusters-Fargate. Tariq also built a Content Management System using Django and GraphQL, focusing on low latency CDN and frequent deployments through IAC tools.

Tariq Mahmood obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Bridgeport from 2017 to 2018.
