Edward Bond has a diverse work experience in the music and writing industry. Edward started their career in 2004 as a professional musician, performing and composing in various styles and ensembles. Alongside their music career, Edward has been a music instructor since 2005, teaching guitar, piano, bass, composition, music theory, and more to students of all ages. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a music instructor at the Eliason School of Music in Portland, Oregon.
In terms of their writing experience, Edward has worked as a content writer for multiple companies. Starting in 2020, they became a content writer for Skoove, a Berlin-based educational technology company, where they wrote articles, newsletters, and contributed to website and sales copy. In 2021, Edward also worked as a content writer for Iridium FX, where they wrote articles on the history of effects pedals. Additionally, they worked as a content writer for KEF | Kent Engineering & Foundry, contributing articles to their lifestyle blog focused on film scores and composers.
Edward's writing expertise extends to authorship and ghostwriting. Edward has written several books for Guitar Head Publishing, including titles such as The Chord Bible, Music Theory for Guitarists, and Songwriting for Guitarists.
Throughout their career, Edward has remained active as a music composer, starting in 2010. Their work experience showcases a passion for music and writing, with a focus on education, composition, and research in the music industry.
Edward Bond obtained a Bachelor's degree in Jazz/Jazz Studies from the University of Oregon, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they pursued further education and earned a Graduate Diploma in Film and Game Scoring from the Film Scoring Academy of Europe in 2021. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in European Jazz Master from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), a program they are expected to complete in 2023.
