Marek Laskowski

Marek Laskowski, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional in the blockchain and Web 3 sectors, currently serving as a Mentor at Outlier Ventures and a Principal at Decentralised Consensus Systems. With extensive experience in launching successful blockchain projects, Marek has played a pivotal role in incubating various Web3 protocols as a founding team member at New Order. As co-founder of Toronto Blockchain Week and the Blockchain Lab at Schulich School of Business, Marek actively contributes to the growth of the blockchain community. Marek has also held advisory roles and served as Chief Technology Officer at Kaskade Finance. Additionally, Marek's past experience includes vice chair responsibilities at UN/CEFACT and a senior research scientist position at BlockScience, emphasizing expertise in token economics and mechanism design. Marek holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
