Claire Canning

Claire took up the role of General Counsel for the UK and Ireland in July 2019. Claire has been at Sky since 2005, having previously been a partner at a leading media law firm, Olswang (now part of CMS). She has over 20 years’ experience in the media industry as a commercial lawyer. Prior to becoming General Counsel, Claire was Director of Legal for Sky’s Content & Commercial legal team which spans partner channels and wholesale distribution, movies and series acquisitions, the commissioning, production and distribution of Sky Original programming, licensing of sports rights and strategic partnerships and business development deals.
