Karly O'Brien

Karly O'Brien is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in literacy and education. Currently serving as Senior Associate for Professional Development at Reading Is Fundamental since June 2022, Karly leads professional learning experiences and advancements in teaching practices. Previous roles include Literacy Content Developer and Content Intern at RIF, as well as English Language Arts Teacher positions at Two Rivers Public Charter School and Ingenuity Prep. Karly's early career included impactful positions with KIPP DC and City Year, where foundational skills in teaching and mentoring were developed. Karly holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from James Madison University.
