John Smith

John Smith is an experienced professional in the field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) training and operations. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Trainer at Skydio since November 2021, John previously held the position of Task Lead at Textron Systems, where responsibilities included managing flight and simulation instruction for the US Army’s UAS Training Battalion. Prior experience includes serving as a UAS Qualification Course Instructor and Team Lead at General Dynamics Information Technology, successfully training Soldiers to operate the Shadow 200V2. John’s career began in the US Army as a UAS operator, where duties involved supervising UAV operations and conducting air reconnaissance missions.
