Michael Scheidler has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and leadership positions. Michael is currently the CEO of Skymetrix, a role they took on in May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager of EO Charging from September 2021 to April 2022. From January 2020 to July 2021, they held the position of Interim CEO/Managing Director at Rivus Fleet Solutions and also worked as the Operating Partner at Aurelius Group during the same period.
Before their roles in the electric vehicle and fleet management sectors, Scheidler had a long career with Thomas Cook Group. Michael served as the Managing Director of Group Destination Management from March 2013 to December 2019, overseeing various aspects of holiday operations worldwide. Michael also held the position of Professor of Tourism and Traffic at the International School of Management in Frankfurt from October 2011 to December 2014.
Scheidler's earlier experience includes positions at Thomas Cook Group as the Director of Touroperator from June 2007 to September 2011, where they were responsible for self-drive holidays, city breaks, and airline holiday operations. Michael also worked at Deutsche Bahn AG, where they held various roles from March 2001 to May 2007, including Head of Line Management and Strategic Planning.
Before joining Deutsche Bahn AG, Scheidler worked as a Project Manager at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants from July 1998 to February 2001. Michael started their career in the aviation industry as an Airline Network Management Specialist at Lufthansa from May 1997 to May 1998.
Throughout their career, Scheidler has demonstrated expertise in areas such as restructuring, turnaround management, data analysis, big data, pricing, yield management, strategic planning, and business development.
Michael Scheidler completed their education with a Doktor (Ph.D.) degree in Economics from Goethe University Frankfurt, which they pursued from 1997 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) / Diplom degree in Physics and Philosophy from The Philipp University of Marburg from 1990 to 1994. In addition, Michael earned a University Diploma in Physics from the University of Kent in 1991-1992 and a Vordiplom in Physics from the University of Regensburg in 1988-1990.
