Rush Patel has worked in various roles since 2004. Rush started off as a Head Resident Assistant at Stenner Glen Student Housing in 2004. Rush then worked as a Structural Engineer - Intern at Boeing in 2006. After that, they worked as a System Performance Analyst at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in 2007. In 2010, they became a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara. In 2015, they were a Co-Founder at Looksy Inc., where they were involved in the development of the startup, recruiting and operating the Looksy crowd of testers, and partial product development of eye-tracking algorithms and data visualization tools. Rush also worked as a Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation in 2015. In 2018, they became a Principal Research Engineer at Systems Technology, Inc., Hawthorne. In 2021, they worked as a Control System Senior Specialist at Virgin Hyperloop. Currently, they are a Senior Control System Engineer at Skyryse.
Rush Patel obtained their Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2006. Rush then went on to pursue a Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the same university in 2007. In 2010, they received their Ph.D in Dynamics and Control from UC Santa Barbara.
