Stephen Kaplan

Stephen Kaplan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in engineering and software development. Stephen most recently worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at SkySpecs, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, Stephen was a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Skillshare from January 2021 to August 2022. Stephen also gained experience as a Performance & Prediction Engineer at First Solar from April 2016 to April 2020. Stephen worked as a Software Engineer at UtilityAPI from July 2015 to December 2015 and at BrightBox Technologies, Inc. from June 2014 to July 2015. Stephen began their professional career as a Student Affiliate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from May 2013 to May 2014. Stephen also completed an Engineering Internship in Steam Operations at Con Edison in June 2012.

Stephen Kaplan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Their major was a joint major in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering. In 2020, they attended Metis, where they studied Data Science & Machine Learning. Apart from their formal education, Stephen also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in May 2019.
