Pierre Sommen

Pierre Sommen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and development, particularly in the field of materials science and recycling. Currently serving as the Directeur R&D et Approvisionnement at SKYTECH SLP since January 2019, Pierre leads the development and management of a raw material supplier portfolio, achieving significant growth from 0 to 5000 tons in 2021, with a target of 20000 tons for 2022. Pierre's focus includes process innovation in separation technologies and continuous improvement of plastic recycling methods. Prior to this role, Pierre was an Ingénieur R&D at APR2 from March 2014 to December 2018, responsible for developing waste supplier portfolios and formulating recycled plastics and wood-plastic composites. Education was completed at Polytech Paris-Saclay where Pierre earned a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Materials Science from 2012 to 2014.
