Nicolás Martínez D'Alto has a diverse work experience in the field of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and architecture. Nicolás is currently working as the Head of BIM at Slantis since November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Standardization and Normative Team at BIM Forum Uruguay Oficial starting from September 2020.

From 2017 to 2022, Nicolás worked at Estudio ESE, where they held multiple roles including BIM & VDC Director, Senior BIM Project Manager, Innovation Manager, BIM Project Manager, and BIM Modeler. During this time, they were responsible for managing high-complexity BIM projects for international and national clients, coordinating projects, modeling and virtual construction.

Nicolás also gained experience as a Project Manager at LINKSTUDIOS since September 2017. In 2018, they worked at BVO ARQ | Estudio Boga - Vera Ocampo Arquitectos as a collaborator for the International Ideas Competition "Mercado Modelo", contributing to BIM modeling and coordination.

Nicolás began their professional career as a Member of the Executive Commission at Grupo de Viaje Arquitectura from April 2014 to March 2017. Nicolás also worked as a Student Tutor of the Learning Support Program at the University of the Republic from March 2012 to February 2016.

Lastly, in 2013, they participated as a co-author in the International Competition "Antel Arena" at Gualano+Gualano Arquitectos, contributing to 3D modeling, rendering, and imaging.

Nicolás Martínez D'Alto's education history includes various degrees and certifications in the fields of architecture and project management. Nicolás earned a degree in Architecture from the Universidad de la República in 2009 and later pursued a Master's degree in Global BIM Management from both the Universitat de Barcelona and the ZIGURAT Institute of Technology from 2018 to 2019. Nicolás also obtained a specialization in BIM Design from Animation Campus in 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Nicolás has obtained several certifications. Nicolás received the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2022. Nicolás also became an Asana Ambassador, certified by Asana, in October 2021. Furthermore, they hold the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from the Instituto Cultural Anglo-Uruguayo, obtained in November 2007, and the First Certificate in English (FCE) from the University of Cambridge, obtained in December 2006.
