Rebekah Freese, LCSW, PhD, is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Columbia College since August 2023. Freese specializes in evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as Eating Disorders and Trauma Treatment. Prior roles include Clinician at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute, Director of the Eating Disorders Program at Alsana, and Senior Regional Executive Director at Mayer Flanagan Scott & Associate. Freese has significant experience with children, adolescents, and adults, and held various positions at the University of Missouri-Columbia, including Co-Director of the Integrative Behavioral Health Clinic, which provided free behavioral healthcare. Educationally, Freese holds a PhD in Social Work and an MSW from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington.
