After leaving the military in 2008, they worked as an Assembly Technician at Omron Network Products, aligning precision optics and electronic assemblies and installing fine pitch surface mount devices.
In 2010, Cano joined Soraa as an Associate Process Engineer, focusing on developing new processes and recipes for LED packaging. They also worked on recipe development for automated assembly tools and collaborated with engineers on new assembly processes or packages. They later became a Process Engineer and then a Product Development Engineer at Soraa, where they continued to contribute to process improvement and product development.
Moving on to Ecosense in 2020, Cano worked as a Product Development Engineer, contributing to the development of new products. Currently, they are employed at KYOCERA SLD Laser as a Process Engineer, responsible for sustaining, integrating, and continuously improving the diode laser process. They also design and develop improved processes and collaborate in procuring new wafer fab equipment.
