Matthew McLaren

Matthew McLaren has a diverse range of work experience. Matthew most recently served as a Regional Sales Manager at Sleeman Breweries Ltd. starting in 2021. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, they worked as the Eastern Ontario Territory Sales Manager at Spearhead Brewing Company.

From 2015 to 2018, Matthew worked as a Marketing Promotional Representative at Groupe Promo-Staff RTM, where they were contracted by various companies to promote and sell products, provide in-store support, and create positive brand impressions.

In 2017, they worked as a Claims Adjuster at Empire Life, assisting with reducing claim turnover time and providing customer service.

Matthew also has experience in logistics and operations, as they worked as an Electoral Material Coordinator at Elections Canada - Kingston and the Islands in 2015, overseeing shipping, receiving, and organizing electoral materials.

In 2008, Matthew worked as a Video Coordinator for The Kingston Frontenacs, editing instant replays and ensuring crowd participation during OHL games.

Matthew also has experience in advocacy and leadership, having served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Student Association - St. Lawrence College - Kingston Campus from 2013 to 2014.

Additionally, Matthew has worked in the healthcare field as a Personal Care Nurse/Assistant at Ryan taylor Inc. from 2009 to 2012, ensuring client safety and training staff.

Finally, they worked as a Counselor at Extend A Family from 2006 to 2010, improving the quality of life for adults and children with developmental disabilities.

Matthew McLaren attended St. Lawrence College from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained a degree in Music & Digital Media with a field of study in Fine/Studio Arts, General. Matthew returned to St. Lawrence College in 2013 and completed a degree in Business Administration with a field of study in Marketing in 2015. Additionally, Matthew McLaren obtained certifications in WHIMIS from St. Lawrence College in February 2014 and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention from the Crisis Prevention Institute in March 2012.
