Sheng-Yuan Liang has over eight years of work experience. In 2012, they served as a Research Assistant at VGHTPE, where they conducted 56 interviews to investigate the quality of life and neurocognitive outcome of patients treated with pediatric brain tumor. In 2015, they were a Research Assistant at National Taiwan University, where they designed and programed experiments measuring unconscious information processing, recruited 30 participants, and provided One-on-one supervision on undergraduate interns. In 2016, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan - School of Information and a UX Researcher at the UMSI Design Clinic, where they conducted user interviews with the business owners and the patrons to understand users' attitudes toward the restaurant loyalty programs, analyzed different comparative programs and created a summary report to the client, and conducted heuristic evaluation to explore the possiblie usability issues of the website. Sheng-Yuan was also a Design Intern at Lassie Collective in 2016. In 2017, they were a UX Designer at Mercari, Inc. and a Team Lead at UMSI Design Clinic, as well as a Product Designer and Sr. Product Designer at Sleeper.
Sheng-Yuan Liang obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from National Taiwan University between 2007 and 2011. Following this, they went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Information Science, with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction, from the University of Michigan between 2015 and 2017.
