Christopher Montgomery, PE has been working in the engineering field for over 20 years. In 1999, they began as a Research Intern at Duke University's Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory. In 2000, they became an Engineering Intern at Crom, LLC. In 2001, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Nekton Research, helping build and test Gamera, Duke and NC State's joint entry in the Fourth Annual International Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Competition. That same year, they began working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Adaptive Equipment, where they designed robotic workcells and other factory automation machinery. In 2007, they became a Senior Engineer at RTI Surgical®. In 2011, they were a Design Engineering Consultant at AI Medical Devices, Inc., where they designed their flagship product, a steerable video laryngoscope. In 2012, they founded HighMecha Engineering, LLC. In 2017, they became the CTO and Co-Founder of Slice Engineering, LLC. In 2018, they became the Engineering Manager - Upper Extremities Product Development at DJO.
Christopher Montgomery, PE received their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Physics from Duke University in 2001.
