William Schaffer

William Schaffer has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. William started their career as an Analyst/Associate at The McLean Group in April 2012, where they worked until September 2015. William then joined KPMG UK as a Corporate Finance Manager in October 2015 and stayed until November 2018. During their time at KPMG UK, they had a secondment at NorthInvest as an Investor Relations Manager and Entrepreneur Coach from November 2017 to November 2018. In 2018, they joined Mercia Asset Management PLC as an Investment Manager, and in April 2021, they were promoted to the role of Investment Director.

Additionally, William has held several advisory roles. William served as a Board Observer at Airship, Adventoris, and SatSense from April 2019 to October 2022. William also took on the role of a Board Observer at Tribosonics from September 2020. Moreover, they became a Non-Executive Director at Talion in November 2021 and at Slingshot Simulations in January 2023.

Throughout their career, William has demonstrated expertise in investment management, corporate finance, and entrepreneurship coaching.

William Schaffer attended Wheaton Warrenville South High School from an unknown start year until 2005. After graduating from high school, they went on to pursue higher education at Princeton University from 2005 to 2009. At Princeton, they earned an AB degree with a focus in History and German.

In terms of additional certifications, William obtained the Series 79 and Series 63 certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2012. In 2015, they obtained the Level 3 Certificate in Corporate Finance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). Finally, in 2019, they obtained the Venture Capital Foundation certification from the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA).
