Jeffrey Yu

I am an American-born Taiwanese 2D/3D Previs Artist with over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. I have worked in VR interactive experiences, PC and mobile video games, board games, card games, real-time animated shows, and live-action films, to name a few. My work is heavily influenced by Sci-Fi, Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy, and I have also worked on projects from other genres. I focus on a mixture of western photorealistic illustrations with eastern anime/manga visual storytelling influences but have also branched out into projects with other art styles.

My double major in animation and sequential arts combined with a Master's in Business allows me to integrate into any creative visual project from the previsualization to the production phase.

I am also the Business Director for the Atlanta-based ASIFA-South volunteer animation society. I lead our team in pursuing sponsorship/partnership opportunities, budgeting, and other fiscal duties. We, with community leaders such as studio owners, higher education faculty, government officials, and leaders of other relevant organizations, implement strategic initiatives aimed at improving conditions of the animation industry in the State of Georgia. In 2022, Our business team published the organization's first white paper study on the health and sustainability of Georgia's animation sector workforce.
