Dave Cummings

Dave Cummings has a diverse work experience in various healthcare organizations. Dave started their career as a Transport Nurse and later became an Assistant Program Manager at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dave then worked as a Director of Marketing at PROGRESSIVE NURSING STAFFERS, where they increased branch profitability by implementing aggressive pricing strategies.

Dave then joined Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Lead Nurse Coordinator, where they facilitated process improvement initiatives and was recognized for recommending successful policies and procedures to improve patient flow. Dave later served as an Emergency Center Director at Holy Cross Hospital, overseeing the operational activities of the Emergency Center and contributing to the development of the first dedicated emergency center for elderly patients in the US.

Dave's experience also includes roles at Methodist Healthcare, where they worked as an Administrator/Sr Director and Corporate Administrator-Patient Care Operations. Dave served as a Performance Improvement Consultant and Leadership Coach at Huron, where they provided consulting services in healthcare operations and leadership development. Dave also worked at Anthem, Inc. as Vice President/Market General Manager, CareMore Health, responsible for driving high-value care for patients with Medicare/Medicaid or commercial products.

Before their most recent role as Vice President of Care Coordinator Center of Excellence at Optum Home Based Medical Care, Dave was Vice President at Mid-South Leadership Group, LLC, a healthcare consulting organization where they focused on change management, strategy, and healthcare operations.

Currently, Dave is working as the Vice President of Operations at SLP-tele, a virtual speech pathology care provider, where they are responsible for various aspects of the organization, including sales/marketing, contracting, clinical operations, and customer support.
