Aleksander Lovric has two years of work experience. In 2020, they were a Lead CFD Engineer at SmallSpark Space Systems, where they were engaged in numerical simulation and optimization of hybrid rocket engines for the purpose of commercial payload delivery. Specifically, they were analyzing multiphase flow, combustion, and fuel grain regression. From 2017 to 2020, they were a PhD Researcher at Swansea University, where they were engaged in computer modelling, simulation, and code development in computational mechanics, specifically in the fields of multi-phase fluid flow and fast fluid solvers. Aleksander also had a three-year industrial collaboration with Schaeffler Group (sponsor) to tackle cavitation in valves, leading to the development of a multiphase FEM code at Swansea University.
Aleksander Lovric has an extensive educational background. Aleksander completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they attained a Master's Degree in MSc Computer Modelling and Finite Elements in Engineering Mechanics at Swansea University from 2015 to 2016. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained several certifications, including a Verified International Academic Qualifications for Doctoral Studies from Credly in April 2021, an OpenFOAM Intermediate from Udemy in March 2020, and a Machine Learning (Stanford University) from Coursera in February 2020.
