Iván de Paz Centeno has a diverse range of work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and software development. Iván'smost recent role was as a Data Scientist and R&D Engineer at SMARKIA, where they focused on researching and implementing AI algorithms for time series analysis and prediction. Iván also worked on proposing AI applications for SMARKIA's smart management processes. Prior to that, Iván worked as a Researcher in Artificial Intelligence applied to Cybersecurity at Universidad de León. During this time, they specialized in Computer Vision and applied AI to facial biometric analysis, resulting in the development of software currently being used by policemen. Iván also gained experience as an Intern at Indra, where they researched and developed a tool for monitoring radio signals from an Android application perspective. Additionally, they worked on a grant project at Universidad de León, where they designed and developed a biometry system based on facial recognition and age and gender estimation. Finally, Iván completed an internship at HP, where they contributed to the design and creation of a cloud-based video surveillance solution called Horus.
Iván de Paz Centeno has a strong educational background in computer science and artificial intelligence. Iván began their academic journey at Universidad de León, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from 2010 to 2015. Iván then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the same university, completing it between 2015 and 2017. Building upon their expertise in the field, Iván continued their education at Universidad de León to pursue a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, which they successfully completed from 2017 to 2021.
