Siobhan Stanger

Siobhan Stanger is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategy, policy development, and regulatory oversight. Currently serving as the Chief Licence Renewal Officer and Chief Strategy and Regulatory Officer at Smart DCC since December 2018, Stanger previously held significant roles at the Department for Education as Deputy Director of Apprenticeships, focusing on apprenticeship levy design and delivery. Earlier positions include Deputy Director of Strategy and Deputy Director responsible for energy efficiency at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, where strategic leadership and regulatory framework development were key responsibilities. Stanger also contributed to climate change initiatives at the Department for International Development and represented the UK in international negotiations while at Defra. Stanger began a professional career in the UK Civil Service after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Warwick.
