Matthew Deane

Matthew Deane has a strong background in design engineering, with experience in various industries and companies. Matthew most recently worked at SMT as the Chief Design Engineer, responsible for transmission mechanism design and analysis. Prior to that, they worked as a Contract Design Engineer at DEANE DESIGN LIMITED, where they specialized in design engineering. Matthew also worked as a Contract Design Engineer at Ricardo Motorcycle, working on the design and analysis of motorcycle and powersports products. Before that, they were a Senior Design Engineer at JCB Powersystems, where they led a team and worked on industrial power unit design and development. Matthew also worked as a Transmission Design Engineer at Changan UK R&D Centre Limited, focusing on gear layout and shift system design. Earlier in their career, they worked at Ricardo Uk Ltd as a Senior Design & Quality Engineer, specializing in engine and transmission design and quality processes.

Matthew Deane earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London. Matthew attended the institution from 1994 to 1999.
