Cathy Hodge

Cathy Hodge has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries, with a focus on maritime and transport logistics sectors. In 1999, they began their career at Informa as a Conference Sponsorship Manager, and later joined Concorde Services as an Industry Manager in 2002. Cathy then worked as the Head of Events at Melcrum from 2004 to 2005. From 2006 to 2019, Cathy held various leadership positions at Digital Ship, where they were responsible for the strategy and growth of the events portfolio. During this time, they organized conferences in key maritime hubs worldwide, covering topics such as Big Data & Analytics, Digitalization & Collaboration, and Cyber Resilience. In 2006, they also worked as a Conference Director at Freight Select, and from 2007 to 2011, they were a Conference Director at StocExpo Ltd. In 2009, Cathy co-founded Port Finance International Ltd., a global conference, training and business information group focused on investment and development issues in the ports and transport infrastructure sectors. In 2019, they founded Expressive Communications & Events and became the Co-Founder/Chief Operating Officer of Smart Maritime Network, a platform promoting integration and data sharing in the maritime industry.

Cathy Hodge holds a BA Hons degree in English from UCL. In 2005, they attended the Cranfield School of Management for the Cranfield Advanced Development Programme. Additionally, Cathy has also studied at St Leonards-Mayfield in the UK and ISSH in Tokyo, Japan, although the specific degrees or fields of study for these institutions are not mentioned.
