Doriot Kim has a diverse work experience in the field of art direction and graphic design. Doriot started their career as a Print Production Associate at Dorling Kindersley in 1996 and worked there until 1997. Doriot then joined FOCUS Information Services as a Graphic Designer and Print Production expert from 1998 to 2001. After that, they became an Associate Art Director at Power & Motoryacht, Voyaging and Big Game Tournament Guide Magazines from 2001 to 2005.
In 2006, Doriot worked as a Tablet Designer at Time Inc., specifically for Sports Illustrated Kids. Doriot later became an Art Director for custom publishing at Time Inc. for GOLF Magazine, where they took charge of several publications, including the U.S. Open Magazine, USGA Annual book, AT&T Pebble Beach Golf Tournament program, and The Masters book, among others. Doriot continued their work at Time Inc. until 2016.
From 2012 to the present, Doriot has pursued freelance art direction roles. Doriot has worked with companies such as Smart + Strong, managing projects for POZ Magazine and Cancer Health Magazine. Doriot also worked as a Freelance Designer for Bedford Saint Martins in 2013, where they created two-page spreads for a communications book.
Most recently, they have been involved with The Boedeker Group as a Freelance Art Director since 2017. Overall, Doriot Kim has amassed valuable experience and expertise in the field of art direction and graphic design through their diversified work history.
Doriot Kim attended Colgate University from 1988 to 1992 where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Religion/Women's Studies. In 1999, they briefly attended the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and the London School of Printing, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for these two institutions.
