Matthew Kallen

Matthew Kallen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the audio post-production industry. Matthew started their career at The Recording Academy as a Clerk before moving on to Academy Recording Studios as a Studio Manager. In 2006, they worked as an Optical Recordist at Chace Audio. The following year, they became the Technical Operations Manager at Widget Post Production Company LLC. In 2005, Matthew established their own company, Metaphonic Sound, where they served as the Creative Director and Owner until 2014. From 2009 to 2015, they held the position of Chief Technical Engineer at Post Haste Digital, where they successfully led and transitioned multiple departments. Currently, Matthew is the Managing Partner and VP Engineering at Smart Post Sound and is responsible for providing technical assistance and scheduling services for clients. Throughout their career, Matthew has demonstrated their expertise in managing teams, implementing technological advancements, and delivering high-quality audio services.

Matthew Kallen obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Recording Technology from Citrus College, which they attended from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they studied Music and Psychology at Victor Valley College from 2000 to 2001. Matthew's earlier education includes attending Berklee College of Music from 1997 to 2000, where they focused on Music Production & Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Matthew has certifications in Ableton Live, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator, and Pro Tools Operator in both music and post-production from Ableton, Inc., Apple, Inc., and Avid Audio, respectively.
