Hipyan Penerjemah Hukum has over 30 years of experience as an English to Indonesian Legal Translator. Starting in 1990, they began translating various legal documents such as agreements, contracts, laws, government regulations, and patent applications. Hipyan also worked on scientific journal articles for graduate students in their early years as a freelance translator. Throughout their career, they have translated for companies such as ProZ.com and Smartcat. Currently, they are working as an English to Indonesian Subtitle Translator of Legal-Financial Courses for Coursera.

Hipyan Penerjemah Hukum has a diverse education history in the field of law and language instruction. From 2018 to 2023, they pursued a degree in Law (S.H.) at Universitas Terbuka, specializing in the study of law. In 2006, they obtained the Accreditation of English to Indonesian Translator from the University of Indonesia.

In 2022, Hipyan Penerjemah Hukum expanded their knowledge through various online courses. Hipyan completed an online course on Islamic Banking and Finance at Universiti Utara Malaysia. Hipyan also undertook several online courses on different aspects of law, including Introduction to Finance: The Basics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Introduction to English Common Law at the University of London, An Introduction to American Law at the University of Pennsylvania, and Legal English in Contracts at Sekolah Tinggi Hukum Indonesia Jentera. Additionally, they took an online course on Cryptocurrency and Blockchain: An Introduction to Digital Currencies at the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to their law education, Hipyan Penerjemah Hukum earned a Bachelor's degree in Education (S.Pd.) from Universitas Bung Hatta from 1999 to 2004. Hipyan'sfield of study focused on Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor.

In May 2022, they received a Coursera GTC Statement of Accomplishment from Coursera, although the specific details of the course are not provided.
