José C. de Sousa

José C. de Sousa has a strong background in finance and accounting, starting as an Audit Manager at Charles Orbach & Company in 1987. José C. then moved to MEG Construction in 1995, where they held the role of Finance Director until 2000. In 2001, they joined SmartCentres REIT, progressing through the ranks from Director to Senior Director, and ultimately Vice President of Development Accounting, a position they currently hold. Their experience spans over three decades in various financial leadership roles.

José C. de Sousa completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting at the University of the Witwatersrand from 1987 to 1993. Subsequently, in 1995, they obtained an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, with a specialization in Accounting.
