Michael Yam

Michael Yam has held various senior financial roles throughout their career. Michael began as Manager of Audit and Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2004 before moving to Brookfield Properties in 2007, where they served as Controller in different divisions and eventually became Senior Vice President & Controller for the Western US and Canada. In 2023, they joined SmartCentres REIT as SVP & Chief Accounting Officer.

Michael Yam obtained a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Waterloo, graduating in 2002 after studying there from 1997.
