Jak Li

Jak Li, PhD, serves as a Research Engineer at Smarter Alloys since November 2019, where responsibilities include the commercialization of multiple memory materials through the development of actuation products and the establishment of technical database structures. Prior to this role, Jak completed a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto, contributing significantly to solid-state energy storage technology, with a total of 10 journal publications and 23 conference presentations. Experience also includes positions as a Research Assistant at ShawCor, where Jak demonstrated plant-scale production feasibility for UV-cured heat-shrink tubing, and as an R&D Electronics Technician at Phoenix Technology Services, focusing on firmware optimization. Jak holds a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science, both from the University of Toronto.
