Joe Groves has had a diverse range of work experience in the field of team building and experiential education. Joe has worked as a Managing Partner at SmartHunts, LLC since 2012, where they oversee the delivery of hi-tech corporate scavenger hunts using iPads. Prior to this, Joe was a Partner at Best Corporate Events from 2010 and contributed to the customization and delivery of team building programs. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Lead Facilitator at Training Path. Joe also has experience in academia, having served as an Adjunct Faculty at Central Connecticut State University from 1999 to 2013, where they developed and taught courses on adventure education. Joe'semployment history also includes roles as an Outdoor Educator/Guide/Facilitator and Director of School & Corporate Programs at The Mountain Workshop, a Facilitator at Edgework Consulting, and a Lead Facilitator at Fusion Associates. Joe had a previous business venture as a Co-Owner at Adventure Concepts, LLC from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Joe has worked as a Trainer/Youth Development Specialist at the Center for Advancement of Youth, Family & Community Services, Inc. from 1993 to 2010, where they facilitated training workshops and provided staff training services. Joe also served as a Special Projects Coordinator at The Center from 2009 to 2010, overseeing an academic support program in a public school.

Joe Groves attended the University of Connecticut from 1982 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Joe'sfield of study included Adventure Based Counseling, Recreation, Sociology, and Psychology. In 2009 to 2011, they attended The Graduate Institute, where they pursued a Graduate degree in Experiential Health & Healing. It is worth noting that in 1982 to 1987, Joe Groves also obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut, but the specific field of study is not provided.
