Martin Jefferies

Martin Jefferies has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies.

Martin currently works as the Head of Marketing at Smartify since January 2022.

Prior to that, Martin worked at English Heritage from July 2018 to December 2021 as a Social Media Marketing Manager, where they managed the social media strategy and marketing objectives, built a team, and developed strong stakeholder relationships.

Before joining English Heritage, Martin served as the Communications Manager at Earthwatch Europe from September 2017 to June 2018.

Martin also worked at Sky from September 2014 to October 2015, holding the positions of Social Media Producer and Digital Producer. During this time, they covered significant national and international stories and provided live coverage of breaking news.

From October 2012 to September 2014, Martin worked at News UK as an iPad sub editor for The Sunday Times.

Prior to that, they had a tenure at KM Group from May 2007 to September 2012, where they held various roles including Chief Reporter, Senior Reporter, Multimedia Reporter, and Broadcast Journalist for kmfm and KentOnline.

Martin Jefferies has a strong education background with a focus on journalism and media. Prior to their university education, Martin attended Dorchester Thomas Hardye School Sixth Form College from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained their A Levels in English, German, and Geography. Earlier in their academic journey, Martin attended Dorchester Thomas Hardye School from 1999 to 2002, where they earned their GCSEs in English Literature, English Language, Maths, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry.
