Mauricio Ruiz

Mauricio Ruiz is an experienced Lead Software Engineer at Smartmatic since May 2011, where responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining desktop front-end applications for electoral events. Transitioning to C++ in 2016, Mauricio is involved in developing an electoral software framework. Previously, as a Senior Software Engineer and Identity Management Software Engineer, duties encompassed the development and maintenance of biometric applications for citizen registration and identification. Prior experience includes serving as a Web Developer at Netservices C.A. from September 2008 to May 2011, focusing on integral web solutions and user interface design using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Mauricio holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guayana, completed between 2003 and 2008.
