Paul Lantow

Paul Lantow has had a diverse range of work experience. Paul has worked as a Full Stack Engineer for SmartPass, where they started in 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer for Grayle starting in 2021 and ending in 2022. In this role, they refactored code, consolidated style files, and designed and built API routes and databases for various features.

Before Grayle, Paul worked as a Software Engineer for ZenBill from 2020 to 2021. Paul built multiple React apps for money transfers and invoice management, utilizing hooks, Redux, and Recoil for state management. Paul also wrote tests using React Testing Library.

In 2019, Paul served as the President and Founder of Cascade October LLC, where they designed and built an Android/iPhone rideshare app using Dart/Flutter. Paul managed app states using a Bloc pattern.

Prior to that, they worked as a Software Development Engineer for AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services Company, from 2017 to 2019. Paul contributed to building metering for AWS Elemental MediaPackage and supported the console for AWS Elemental MediaConnect.

Paul also has internship experience, having worked as a Software Engineer Intern for Elemental Technologies in 2016 and as a Software Engineering Intern for Axolsoft in 2015.

In addition to their tech roles, Paul has also worked in different industries. Paul worked as a Carpenter for Bright Works, Inc in 2014 and as a Sandwich Artist for Subway from 2014 to 2014.

Lastly, they served as a Nature Instructor for the Boy Scouts of America, Cascade Pacific Council, in 2010, where they taught campers about nature conservation and led hikes into the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness.

Paul Lantow earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University, graduating in 2017. Prior to this, they studied Mechanical Engineering at Santa Clara University from 2011 to 2013. In addition, they obtained a certification in Duolingo German Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) from Duolingo in September 2016.
