Basil Kanno

Basil Kanno has over 30 years of work experience, with a diverse range of roles in various companies. Most recently, they worked as the VP of Information Technology at SmartPay Leasing since 2019. Prior to that, they were the Director of Software Engineering at PCMS Datafit, where they successfully developed an efficient Agile development organization.

From 2012 to 2014, Basil served as the VP of Technology at Epsilon, where they led strategic system implementations for major US financial institutions and drove initiatives to improve operational maturity. Before that, they were the Managing Partner at Cast10, where they spearheaded strategic technology solutions for mobile initiatives.

Basil's experience also includes being the President of Buzz360, a division of PNG, where they led the formation and launch of a mobile marketing/commerce solution. Additionally, they served as the Chief Information Officer at PowerNet Global Communications, where they successfully led IT and other operational organizations, contributing to significant revenue growth.

Basil started their career as a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young and later worked as a Senior Software Architect at EXL Information Corp, where they led the redesign efforts of a flagship telecommunications billing product. Throughout their career, Basil has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a successful track record in driving strategic initiatives and achieving corporate goals.

Basil Kanno obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University, between the years 1991 and 1994.
