Scott Hartson has a diverse work experience in various roles throughout their career. Scott started their career as a Commercial Credit Analyst II at Bank of America in 1989 and worked there until 1993. Following that, they joined Beazer Homes as a Sr. Financial Analyst and Land Acquisition & Market Research Manager from 1993 to 2004. Scott then worked at Centex Homes as a Land Acquisition Manager from 2005 to 2007.
In 2008, Scott joined Beazer Homes again, this time as a Regional Director of Finance FP&A. Scott held this position until 2011 when they became the Vice President of Acquisitions and Designated Broker for Beazer Homes' Single Family Rental REIT venture. In this role, they were responsible for managing the acquisition, restoration, and leasing of distressed residential real estate portfolios in multiple states.
From 2015 to 2016, Scott worked as the Director Finance FP&A and Designated Broker at Beazer Homes, where they provided supervision for financial planning and analysis, land finance, market research, and escrow departments.
In 2016, Scott joined Arizona Professional Real Estate as a Principal and Designated Broker. Currently, they are working at SmartRent since 2018 as the Vice President of Builder Services. In this role, they are involved in developing software and hardware solutions for builders and homeowners in single-family residential communities, focusing on asset monitoring, protection, and revenue generation.
Scott Hartson earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics from Arizona State University, completing their education from 1984 to 1989.
