Nicola Gifford

Nicola Gifford is a lawyer who has worked in a variety of legal positions for different companies. Nicola is currently the General Counsel and Company Secretary for SmartSearch. Prior to that, they were with HSBC for seven years as Associate General Counsel and then Senior Legal Counsel for DE Ford Insurance Brokers Limited for just over a year. Nicola also spent four years and eleven months as Group Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for The Broker Network, part of the Towergate Group. Nicola Gifford began their career as a Legal Director and Company Secretary for DePuy International Limited, part of Johnson & Johnson, where they spent ten years and six months. In their current role at SmartSearch, Nicola is responsible for leading a team of lawyers who provide legal support to the company.

Nicola Gifford has a Diploma in Corporate Governance from The Corporate Governance Institute, a 1st class degree in Law Society Finals from The University of Law, and an upper second class honours in BSc Russian & Soviet Studies with Law from the University of Surrey.
