Jere Nieminen

Jere Nieminen currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Smartum Oy since September 2021, previously holding positions as Engineering Manager and Tech Lead. Prior experience includes roles at Elisa from January 2015 to September 2021, where Jere achieved the titles of Lead Architect for Content Delivery and Entertainment & Digital Services, along with Senior Service Architect. Jere led the development of a serverless Live to VOD workflow in the public cloud and was responsible for the architecture and operational oversight of video streaming systems. Jere's earlier career includes a position as Service Development Manager at Mediatrade Oy, focusing on technical presales/postsales for video streaming systems, and serving as Technical Product Manager and Software Designer at Ortikon Interactive. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Tampere University of Technology.
