Sabar Tinambunan has extensive work experience as a Chief Engineer in various companies. Sabar started their career at Bourbon Offshore Greenmar in 2008, where they were responsible for ensuring the operation and safety of mechanical systems, conducting preventive maintenance, and managing inventory records. Sabar worked at Bourbon Offshore Greenmar until 2013.
From 2013 to 2016, Sabar Tinambunan worked for SVITZER-Angola as a Chief Engineer.
In 2016, they joined POET Marine Ltd, Singapore as a Chief Engineer and worked there until 2017.
From 2017 to 2018, they worked at VORTEX OFFSHORE as a Chief Engineer.
In 2019, Sabar Tinambunan joined Svitzer Bangladesh as a Chief Engineer and worked there until 2020.
Currently, they are employed as a Chief Engineer at Smit Lamnalco, starting in September 2020.
Throughout their career, Sabar Tinambunan has consistently focused on ensuring the efficient operation and compliance with safety regulations of mechanical systems.
Sabar Tinambunan obtained their Engineer's Degree in Marine Engineering from Merchant Marine College in 2010-2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Marine Engineering from Indonesia, Merchant Marine College in 1990-1993. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also earned a certification as an Engineer Officer Class 1 from the Directorate General of Sea Transportation in December 2014.
