Adam Thorne

Adam Thorne is an accomplished finance executive currently serving as the CFO for Smith+Nephew's Orthopaedics International division since November 2020, where responsibilities include leading financial planning and strategy while partnering with senior leadership. In addition to this role, Adam is a Board Member of Smith & Nephew Spk Zoo. Prior experience at Shell saw Adam excel as Senior Finance Director, where Adam successfully transformed FP&A operations and built a highly capable global team. Adam holds a Fellowship from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and dual Bachelor's degrees in International Business and Accounting from Queensland University of Technology, complemented by a CEMS Exchange at SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
