Timothy DeBusk has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Timothy started their career as a Mortarman in the United States Marine Corps from December 2009 to January 2013. Timothy then worked as a System Administrator at TegraGlobal from February 2016 to December 2017, followed by a role as a Cybersecurity & Network Engineer at the same company from December 2017 to November 2018. Timothy joined TEKsystems in November 2018 as a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer supporting Smithfield Foods until April 2019. After that, they joined Smithfield Foods as an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer from April 2019 to August 2021. Timothy then advanced to the role of a Cybersecurity Engineer at Smithfield Foods from August 2021 to March 2022, where they provided end-user support, audited system compliance, and conducted knowledge-sharing sessions. Currently, Timothy works at Smithfield Foods as an IT Tech Lead - Cybersecurity Operations starting from March 2022, where they lead the adoption of security technology solutions, enhances security posture, advises leadership on cybersecurity matters, and manages critical incidents.
Timothy DeBusk completed their education in cybersecurity. Timothy obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in cybersecurity from Tidewater Community College from 2018 to 2020. Timothy then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in cybersecurity from Old Dominion University from 2021 to 2022. In addition to their education, Timothy also obtained several certifications, including the Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate from Microsoft in February 2023, the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) CE from CompTIA in October 2019, and the CompTIA Network+ CE from CompTIA in October 2017.
