Kayla Sakimoto-Oshita has held a variety of roles in the pharmacy field since 2008. Kayla began as a Tutor & SI Leader at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2008, followed by a Curriculum Liaison at UCSF in 2012. In 2013, they became an Acute Care Pharmacy Intern at the University of California, San Francisco and then an Ambulatory Care/HIV Clinic Pharmacy Intern at the same institution in 2014. Kayla also held a Graduate Intern role at Safeway in 2014. In 2016, they took on two roles - a Pharmacist at Safeway and a Clinical Review Lead and Clinical Pharmacist at SmithRx.
Kayla Sakimoto-Oshita obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of California, San Francisco in 2014, majoring in Pharmacy. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2009, majoring in Biology, General. Kayla also attended La Pietra. In addition, Kayla has obtained several certifications, including Pharmacy-Based Travel Health Services from the American Pharmacists Association in 2016, Pharmacist-Administered Immunization Delivery from the University of California, San Francisco in 2011, Medication Therapy Management from the American Pharmacists Association in 2017, and CPR, AED & First Aid from National Health Care Provider Solutions.
