Sumit Harwani has over 15 years of experience in various HR roles. Most recently, they worked for Smiths Group plc as the Head of Learning and Talent Development for their John Crane division. Prior to that, they were the Head of Digital HR for Smiths Group, responsible for driving internal HR transformation objectives globally. Before joining Smiths Group, Sumit worked at Deloitte as an Associate Director and Manager in the HR Transformation service line, leading transformation programs for clients in the banking domain. Sumit also worked as a Global HR Transformation Consultant at Syngenta and a Senior HR Consultant at Infosys, where they supported global payroll solutions for major FMCG clients. Additionally, they held roles at Accenture and IBM India Pvt Ltd, supporting HR transformation initiatives and driving self-service design across various HR modules. Sumit began their career as an HR Consultant at Satyam Computer Services, gaining technical expertise in SAP HR modules. Overall, Sumit has a strong background in HR transformation and has contributed to multiple global programs and projects throughout their career.

Sumit Harwani completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics & Telecommunications from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya in 2006. Sumit completed their higher secondary education at All Saints School Bhopal between 1987 and 2002. Additionally, they have received certifications in various areas such as Digital Learning Expert from Deakin University and Future Learning and Development Leader from KPMG. Sumit also holds certifications in SAP Employee and Manager Self Services, SAP HCM Certified-Associate, Workday - HCM Fundamentals, and Workday Integrations Pro.
