Christopher Quinn has over 30 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Christopher started their career as a Design and Manufacturing Engineer at LTV Aircraft Products in 1987. Christopher then worked as a Self-Employed Engineering Consultant at Parametric Technology Corp before joining Baxter Healthcare Advanced Engineering Center as a Principal Mechanical Engineer. In 1998, they became a Research and Development Engineer at Augustine Medical Inc, where they designed and implemented feedback algorithms for a thermoelectric cooling device.
In 1999, Quinn joined Data Sciences International as a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, leading a catheter team and securing venture capital funding for successful implant studies. Christopher then worked at ev3, Inc as a Principal Engineer and Manager of R&D for Embolic Protection, where they developed technologies for percutaneous reshaping of the mitral valve.
In 2007, Quinn became the Director of Research and Development at Osprey Medical, where they directed the development of a system for vacuum-assisted contrast fluid removal. Christopher then joined AGA - St. Jude Medical as the Director of Research and Development, leading the development of next-generation woven nitinol aortic grafts and embolic protection devices.
Currently, Quinn is working at Smiths Medical as the Chief Technical Engineer, overseeing the work of a large team of engineers and being recognized for their contributions to the re-launch of a micro pump for the treatment of Pulmonary Artery Hypertension.
Christopher Quinn attended Drexel University in Philadelphia from 1982 to 1987, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Master of Science degree in BioMedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. In 2011, Christopher attended Kellogg Executive Development Classes, but there is no information provided regarding the degree or field of study obtained during that time.
