Paul Baker

Paul Baker has an extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Paul is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Smiths News since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Compass Group as Finance Director for Europe from December 2015 to January 2021, and as Regional Finance Director from July 2013 to November 2015. Paul also served as Finance Director at Birds Eye Limited from January 2012 to June 2013, and as Group Operations Finance Director at Birds Eye Iglo Limited from January 2011 to January 2012.

Paul's earlier experience includes roles at Cadbury, where they held positions such as Corporate Finance Director from January 2009 to December 2010, and Supply Chain Finance Director from March 2006 to December 2008. Paul also worked at Cadbury Schweppes as the EMEA Procurement Controller from January 2004 to December 2005. Before that, they were the Financial Controller at Ernest Jackson from 2001 to 2004, and the Commercial Finance Manager at Monkhill Confectionery from 1999 to 2001.

Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and process optimization.

Paul Baker earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Finance & Accounting from The University of Salford, where they attended from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they had completed a course at CIMA, obtaining an ACMA degree in 1999.
