Radomir Balazy

Radomir Balazy has extensive work experience in various roles related to sales, marketing, forestry management, and geographic information systems (GIS). Radomir is currently serving as the Director of Sales Marketing at The SmokeD wildfire detectors since December 2021. In 2022, they founded WoodMall.

Prior to their current roles, Balazy worked as a GIS Consultant at Frontex from April 2019 to December 2021. Radomir also served as the Chief Specialist/PM at the Forest Research Institute, Department of Forestry Management from July 2014 to May 2019. Before that, they were the Head (a.i.) at the Forest Research Institute, Department of Information Technology and Modelling from January 2013 to July 2014.

Additionally, Balazy has experience as the Chief Specialist/PM at the Forest Research Institute Department of Forest Management from June 2012 to December 2012, and as the Chief Specialist at the Department of Mountain Forestry in Forest Research Institute from February 2012 to June 2012.

Furthermore, Balazy worked as a GIS & Forest Protection Expert/PM at the Forest Inspectorate Swieradow, Regional Directorate of the State Forests (RDLP) in Wroclaw from February 2003 to June 2012. Radomir also served as the Director of the GIS Department at GISPRO from November 2008 to December 2011. Additionally, Balazy gained early experience as an Assistant/Trainee at Österreichische Bundesforste AG in 2003.

Radomir Balazy has a diverse educational background. Radomir began their education at a primary school, although the specific years are not provided. Later, they attended the Akademia Rolnicza im. Augusta Cieszkowskiego w Poznaniu from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Forestry. Following this, from 2003 to 2007, Radomir Balazy studied at the Wyższa Szkoła Zarządzania "Edukacja" and earned an Engineer degree in Informatics. Continuing their education, they attended the Universität Salzburg from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

In addition to their formal education, Radomir Balazy has also obtained multiple certifications. These include the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator certification from Urząd Lotnictwa Cywilnego in May 2019, the Agile Project Management Practitioner Examination from APMG International in January 2017, the Agile Project Management Foundation Examination from APMG International in March 2016, the P3O Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in December 2015, the MoR® Foundation Certificate in Risk Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in October 2015, the MSP® Foundation Certificate in Programme Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in September 2015, the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in April 2015, the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from APMG-International in December 2013, the Change Management Foundation Examination from APMG-International in February 2013, and the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from APMG-International in December 2012.

Furthermore, Radomir Balazy has participated in various learning initiatives and workshops. These include the IUFRO Task Force "Education in Forest Science" Learning Initiatives "Precision Forestry" from Warsaw University of Life Sciences in August 2012 and the Carbon Budget Model of the Canadian Forest Sector (CBM-CFS3) International Technical Training Workshop held at the Pacific Forestry Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in April 2012.
