Mark Greenwood

Mark Greenwood has an extensive work experience spanning various roles in finance and accounting. Mark started their career at Smiths News as a Publisher Accounts Leader/Clerk and later became an Ops Liaison Analyst. Mark then transitioned to DMD, where they worked as a Senior Analyst for two years before being promoted to Management Accountant. In this role, they were responsible for preparing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. After DMD, Mark joined Connect Group PLC as an Ops Liaison Team Leader and later became an Accounts Payable and Management Accounts Support Controller, leading a team and providing management reporting. Mark briefly worked as a Finance Business Partner at Eddisons before joining Smoothwall, where they held the positions of Group Accountant and Financial Controller. In these roles, they managed the finance team, aligned processes and systems, and built financial forecasts and models. Mark's experience includes month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting external audits.

Mark Greenwood attended North Halifax Grammar School from 1990 to 1998. After completing their secondary education, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Accountancy from The University of Huddersfield, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. Mark later obtained a certification as a Chartered Management Accountant from CIMA in March 2020.
