Rhonda Staley-Brooks

Director, Community Relations, Outreach & Support at SMUD

Rhonda Staley-Brooks has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and positions. Rhonda currently works for SMUD as the Director of Community Relations, Outreach & Support since November 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Manager of Community Relations, Outreach & Events at SMUD starting in July 2019.

From January 2016 to June 2019, Rhonda served as the Executive Director of the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program. Before that, they had a long and successful tenure at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento, starting as President & CEO in March 1993 and continuing in that role until January 2016. Rhonda'sresponsibilities included fundraising, staff management, and expanding the organization's reach into new areas.

Early in their career, Rhonda worked as a Loan Processor at Bank of America from March 1996 to November 1999.

Rhonda Staley-Brooks completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University-Sacramento in 2018. Rhonda received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Child Development from California State University-Sacramento in 1995. Rhonda also attended Woodbury University in 1990-1991 and Aviano High School from 1986 to 1990.
