Richard Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Richard most recently worked at SMX as a Deputy Site Lead/Logistics Manager. Prior to that, they worked at Smartronics as a Logistics Manager. Richard also worked at Meta Special Aerospace as an AFRICOM Field Service Representative, BeechCraft 350 A&P Mechanic, and later as an OCONUS Logistics Specialist. Richard worked at Metrea as a Logistics Specialist. Richard also has experience in the defense aerospace industry and worked as a Defense Aerospace Systems Engineer. Richard served in the US Navy, where they held positions such as Fleet Reconnaissance Squadron Four, Maintenance Material Control, Quality Assurance Officer, and Aircraft Maintenance Officer/Maintenance Material Control Officer at the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department, Fleet Readiness Center. Prior to that, they worked as a Navy Officer Recruiter and as a Maintenance Material Control Officer/Quality Assurance Officer in various roles.
Richard Johnson has a Master of Science degree in Aviation and Space Science from Oklahoma State University, which they obtained from 1996 to 1998. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education Training and Development from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, between 1993 and 1995.
Richard also holds additional certifications, including a Federal Aviation Administration Airframes/Power Plants Airmen's Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1993, and an ICAO/IATA DANGEROUS GOODS CERTIFIED from Dangerous Goods International (DGI Global) in September 2021.
