Arash Pourtaherian

Arash Pourtaherian is currently a Manager in Machine Learning Software Engineering at Snap Inc., beginning in June 2023. Previously, Arash served as a Principal Engineer and Team Lead in Machine Learning at GrAI Matter Labs from August 2019 to June 2023, where notable achievements included the development of advanced ML tools that significantly enhanced compute efficiency and contributions as a compute model architect for the GML event-based neural network accelerator, GrAI VIP. Prior to this role, Arash was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology focused on medical image analysis and ultrasound imaging from September 2018 to August 2019, and a PhD candidate at Philips Research Eindhoven, Eindhoven University of Technology, and Catharina Hospital Eindhoven from September 2013 to August 2018. Arash's academic credentials include a PhD and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Indiana University Indianapolis.
